About Dr. Lakshmi
A Doctor of Physical Therapy on a mission to give women the care they’ve been missing.
Why I Built Thrive
I became a physical therapist because I watched too many women get told their pain was “just part of being a woman.” Pelvic pain dismissed as anxiety. Postpartum recovery handed off as “rest and ice.” Sports injuries minimized because she “shouldn’t be doing that anyway.”
I went to PT school determined to do better. After years working in clinics, watching insurance dictate care and watching women get rushed through appointments with rotating staff, I realized the system wasn’t built for the kind of care I wanted to give.
So I built Thrive. Online so it could meet women where they actually live. Solo so every visit would be with the same person who knows your story. Membership-based so we could focus on healing instead of billing codes.
How I Work
Every visit is with me, not a tech, not an aide, not a different therapist each time. I work with women across the lifespan, from teens through perimenopause and beyond. I take time. I listen. I ask the questions other providers skip.
My approach combines orthopedic physical therapy with training in pelvic health and perinatal care. I draw on movement science, strength training principles, and a deep belief that women’s bodies deserve to be understood, not feared, not silenced, and not waved aside.

When I’m Not Working
When I’m not seeing patients, I’m usually exploring the outdoors, reading something that keeps me up at night, or planning my next restaurant raid. I love simple things that make life feel full: good meals, fresh air, and slow moments in between.
Travel is one of my favorite ways to reset and step outside of routine. Whether it’s a new city or just a change of scenery, I always come back feeling more inspired and recharged.
